The results for the year are in, and its good news again as Sales hit target! An excellent November and the acceptance of CCS helped to get us over the line.
2019 saw the return of the Rugby World Cup, hosted this year by last tournament's surprise package - Japan. A superb tournament followed, with some thrilling games and the odd upset (the hosts did it again…).
Above target results in both months with a particularly strong October have continued this year’s good news story. One month to go…

I left my campsite and hiked south for 3 miles. Then I turned east and hiked for 3 miles. I then turned north and hiked for 3 miles, at which time I came upon a bear inside my tent eating my food! What colour was the bear?
In this edition I had planned to conduct an interview in the lift with Mike, however as seems to be the case more often than not here in Bridge Gate, the lifts were out of order so we had to take the stairs…
Back in January’s edition of Switched On, we ran (pun possibly intended…) a piece on Charlie Ramsay, Alex Crabb and Dan Spence who were partnering with London Youth to run the London Marathon.
The Sales year got off to a slow start but the upward trend is positive news with February above target.
On 28th April 2019 the 39th Annual London Marathon will be taking place. The gruelling 26.2 mile race will as always run from Blackheath, past some of London’s most well-known landmarks and finishing with a final push down The Mall.
The Sales year was rounded off in style with a great November across the board.
I’m going to start this with a confession: I am a massive numbers geek and as such words are not something considered a strong point. So thanks to the army of people who have helped me to string together some coherent sentences, or not as the case may be!
There are a number of developments going on at the moment as part of our three year transformation programme, but there is one particular new venture that we wanted to highlight: Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging points.
This issue’s Spotlight star Coral Newby started life at TGP in 2012 within a department that no longer exists and is hardly referred to (in Lord Voldemort-like terms, They Who Must Not Be Named). Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of this team, Coral moved to Utilitywise Sales under the insightful leadership of one Aidan Dempsey, who she assures me shaped her into the person she is today.
