13th to 17th May was mental health awareness week, and Total Gas & Power participated with a whole range of activities.
We held a number of mental Health awareness workshops, facilitated by the charity Mind, some for managers and some for all staff. These were really well attended – in fact, two of the sessions were oversubscribed. We have received some very positive feedback following these sessions.
We also asked you to take part of a bake sale for your teams to raise money for Mind – thanks to all the departments who took part!
Mental Health First Aider
We are fortunate to have our very own Mental Health First Aider - Nikki McLaughlin, HR Business Partner. Nikki is available on an ongoing basis (outside of her HR remit) to anyone who may want to talk – whether it’s something affecting your personal or working life – she is contactable via email or phone. Going forward, we will be aiming to have more Mental Health First Aiders trained both within HR and in other areas of the business.
