In this edition I had planned to conduct an interview in the lift with Mike, however as seems to be the case more often than not here in Bridge Gate, the lifts were out of order so we had to take the stairs…
How is everything going in your world at the moment?
Everything is going well 🙂. Lots of challenges upcoming and a few big projects in the works, which is all very exciting!
I know you’re a big Mixed Martial Arts fan, who would you say is your favourite fighter at the moment? And are there any fights we should look out for?
I’m more of a small and weak Mixed Martial Arts fan but you can’t have everything… I currently judge professionally, too small to be a ref, I’d get squashed by the heavyweights by mistake. My favourite active fighter is probably Pedro Munhoz due to his aggressive style and NASTY submissions…
I understand you also partake in MMA yourself and you mention you judge, will we see you gracing the Octagon any time soon, Conor McGregor’s next opponent perhaps?
I used to train before I became old and frail, I’ve had to slow down in recent years due to injury! There’s definitely no plans to fight in the near future although mainly because I like food too much to cut weight…
If you had to pick a song to be your walk-out music, what would you pick?
If I had to pick it would be “Sleep Now In the Fire” by Rage Against the Machine, I am a big Carlos Condit fanboy, he always used to walk out to Rage and they used to be one of my favourite bands!
You were our “Guess who” picture last year, if you could go back in time and give younger you one piece of advice what would you choose?
A piece of advice to my younger self? Bowl cuts have never and will never be in fashion…
At this point we had reached the third floor and I had lost all ability to talk due to climbing all those stairs, so I left Mike to carry on with his day while deciding I should probably take advantage of the work membership to Donyngs.
