## The Franchise Show 2018

**“… but I thought you guys were petrol stations?”** 

In February we exhibited at our first SME (small and medium-sized business) event of the year – The Franchise Show at London’s Excel which brings together more than 9,000 attendees over two days. 

Designed for franchise businesses looking to expand and for business owners exploring new routes to growth, it provided the perfect opportunity to raise Total Gas & Power’s profile as an expert business energy supplier - while generating quality leads for our sales team.

The strength of the Total brand (and our rapid reaction game!) drew a steady stream of curious visitors to the stand, many of whom still associate us with the petrol stations that we sold back in 2010! 

Despite being one of the largest business gas suppliers by volume and our ongoing brand awareness campaigns it’s surprising just how many SME owners still aren’t aware that Total supply gas and electricity – and it shows how important it is for us to be present and prominent at events like these.

As show sponsors, we received prominent branding throughout the show, provided every visitor with a branded energy-saving guide in their delegate bag and received opted-in contact details of more than 5,000 attendees which we’ll share more information about our products with. 

We left the show on Saturday evening weary but buoyant – franchising is a vibrant industry full of inspirational people, and one where we can really help businesses to thrive.
