Hands up if you have heard about our Employee Volunteering Policy!
We all have three days in a year to volunteer as individuals or teams and many colleagues have started taking advantage of this opportunity.
Ana Galarza-Hernandez was kind enough to share her recent volunteering experience:
Hi Ana, can you tell us about your recent volunteering experience?
I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Catholic Church of English Martyrs, my local church in Horley. They had requested volunteers to help with decorations for their Diamond Jubilee celebration. I took half a day off to contribute to this initiative which is very dear to my heart.
What did you get up to?
I am a very keen gardener and was happy to contribute to this call for decoration of the church. Alongside other volunteers, we created beautiful fresh flower arrangements adding instant ambiance to both the interior and exterior of the church. It was so rewarding and inspiring and I am grateful for the company’s support allowing us to give back to our community.
