Jerome Hardy - Central Services Director
This month we’ve fired our questions at Jerome Hardy, our newest SMT member. I’m not sure of his official title but I want to say it’s something like ‘Finance Maestro Extraordinaire’. Yep, that sounds right…
Question 1: So, what are you working on today?
Jerome:
"I have an interesting to-do list : Month-end results and follow-up actions plan, ongoing budget process, compliance, recent audit recommendations to implement, next audit to prepare, and various projects to be conducted by the finance team to improve our processes and the quality of our analysis."
Question 2: What’s the best part of your role here at TGP?
Jerome:
"Being part of the SMT of TGP gives me exposure to a variety of subjects. It is even more interesting given that TGP is engaged in a 3 year transformation programme to improve customer experience, and at the same time the Group has great ambitions regarding the development of Gas, Power and Renewables. It is very stimulating and challenging!"
Question 3: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Jerome:
"I wanted to be a Historian-Archaeologist, to discover hidden mysteries in Egypt or in South America (maybe seen too many Indiana Jones movies…)"
Question 4: What’s your favourite movie?
Jerome:
"Even if I liked Indiana Jones when I was young (see above), there are also various movies that I have probably watched too much (Star Wars, The Godfather, etc). I would probably say that Forrest Gump is my favourite because I like the idea that everyone gets a chance to succeed in life, and as Forrest says: 'Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.'"
Question 5: In 5 words, describe your perfect weekend.
Jerome:
- Family
- Good Food
- Exercise
- Going out
- Having fun and enjoying life!
