Ibstock Brick is the largest clay building products manufacturer in the UK - making over 400 different bricks. The manufacturing of this capacity of bricks results in them being a significant energy user. As a market leader they believe that they have the responsibility to lead by example when it comes to energy management and energy use reductions. Over the last decade they have invested over £75 million in energy efficiency projects.

In October 2018 and following the announcement of TGP’s partnership with ChargePoint, Ibstock Brick was announced as TGP’s very first Electric Vehicle (EV) customer. Ibstock Brick purchased 12 charging ports in yet another important milestone of our longstanding supply relationship.

Commenting on the partership, Mark Rose, Major Business Director said:

“We are delighted to enhance our long-standing strategic partnership with Ibstock Brick by making them our very first EV charging point customer in the UK. The installation is testament to our ability to identify and respond to the changing needs of major customers with market-leading products. Furthermore, it emphasises our requirement to adapt as the energy industry evolves. This is a great success and one we intend to build on.”

Michael McGowan - Ibstock’s Energy Manager said:

“Our close working relationship with TGP is enabling us to successfully control energy costs and implement our energy management strategy so we can future-proof our business as the markets and regulatory environment changes.”
