‘OPT In’, ‘Opt Out’ - what’s it all about?
The new data protection law (GDPR) gives you more control over how you hear about marketing information from companies – you’ve probably received a few of these already!
In order to keep receiving the marketing material from these companies it is now a requirement that you positively ‘Opt In’ and tell marketing companies how you would like to receive updates, news and offers. You may also need to read through how the company intends to use your data through their ‘Data Privacy Policy’. You also have the right to request to ‘Opt Out’ of receiving marketing materials at any time.
Opt in or Opt Out - TGP Marketing Communications
As part of our GDPR obligations we have sent out Marketing communications to all Customers who are still supplied through TGP so as they have the opportunity to ‘Opt In or Out’ of receiving marketing materials from us. The content of the communications is in line with our Legal obligations so it is very important that we manage these communications carefully.
We also have a Data Privacy Notice is available on our Intranet – link here and will be available on our website. Please send some time reviewing this in case you need to help a Customer directly.
