In Switched On's brand new feature, we take a few minutes to ask Dave Harries, Head of Pricing and Commercial Systems, 5 quickfire questions.

Here goes...

1. What's in your bag today?

Well I'm cheating a bit because I knew I'd be stuck in a lift so I've got some large TENA pants, a bucket, a picture of the queen and a harmonica.

But of course on any normal day… I wouldn't have the harmonica.

2. If you could go back to any point in time, where would you go?

I remember a Bing Crosby film where he accidentally travels back in time to the court of King Arthur and to escape execution he uses a box of matches to magic up fire and pretend to be a wizard.
There’s also Nicholas Lyndhurst in ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’ going back to WWII and passing off Beatles songs as his own in order to woo a lady. So something like that would be fun.
On a more serious note I should probably do something honourable like prevent Hitler or Stalin from being born or go back to 1988 and try to persuade Bowie not to form ‘Tin Machine’.

3. What's your greatest achievement?

That’s the kind of question that makes me realise that I’ve mostly squandered my life but I guess it would be a toss-up between fatherhood and my knowledge of the gas and power industry.

4. Any party tricks your colleagues should know about?

It would probably be throat/overtone singing.

But I’ve been doing that for a while now, so it’s probably time I learnt something new. I’m attracted to Ethiopian armpit music.

But who isn’t?

5. Do you have a nick name?

Yes I do.
