Thank you to everyone that joined Dave Cranfield and the Sustainable Committee for a special webinar on Friday, September 27th to celebrate the 2024 TotalEnergies Sustainab’ALL Day.
This year edition of our Sustainab’ALL Day webinar focused on the five levers identified by the Company to drive dynamic change and foster a culture shift through collective workplace attitudes. The 5 levers are:
- Carbon emissions: Minimizing energy consumption and promoting low-carbon technologies.
- Environment: Reviewing all discharges to minimize pollution and waste.
- Communities: Engaging in constructive dialogue with neighbour’s and stakeholders.
- Care: Paying attention to colleagues and reporting signs of distress.
- Sustainability: Integrating sustainability into the company's strategy, projects, and operations.
Our Sustainab’ALL webinar also aimed to highlight our achievements and progresses in sustainability at TotalEnergies Gas & Power UK. The good news is that we are notably progressing toward our sustainability goals*, with some areas already surpassing the 2025 targets. Well done everyone!
Sustainable Energy:
- Currently, around 50% of the electricity supplied to customers comes from renewable sources, which is on track towards the 60% target by 2025.
- Mandatory clauses for climate reduction plans are now included in new contracts, aiming for at least 40% of suppliers to have solid plans in place by 2025.
- One of the three new innovative solutions towards the transition to net zero, hourly matching, has been launched.
People:
- Employee engagement is at 90% in the 2024 pulse survey, exceeding the 80% target by 2025.
- Training per employee is currently aiming to reach 4 days in 2024, with a target of 5 days by 2025.
- Employees with disabilities make up 12% of the workforce, close to the 13% target.
Save Natural Resources:
- Processes in the new office are being reviewed and optimized to further reduce waste.
