Volunteering days at the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation (QEF): thanks for your efforts!
As part of TGP UK commitment in playing an active role in supporting our local community, we had the opportunity to support the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation in February and March. Based just outside Leatherhead in Surrey, the QEF provides rehabilitation and care for those that have suffered neurological injury and have long term neurological conditions.
The volunteers have contributed significantly to transforming the landscape and greenspaces surrounding the QEF Centre, including hedge trimming, clearing overgrown areas, and constructing and expending pathways to enhance wheelchair access.
"It was an honour to partake in the recent volunteering day at QEF with my colleagues. The day started with a very powerful and informative message from the team at QEF to remind us how big of a difference a day like this really makes (..)”.
Jack Barson - Account Manager
“The energy coming from the group was incredible, every one of us was sharing the tasks to our abilities and the day went so fast in a lovely atmosphere. Seeing the changes, we made at the end of the day was very rewarding and gave us a great sense of accomplishment (…).”
Nelly Kervarec - Senior Account Manager
A day at Stipey Stork
Over the past few weeks, our colleagues have dedicated their time, energy, and talents to a variety of volunteering initiatives contributing to meaningful causes. On Wednesday, February 21, 11 of our colleagues from the Collections team attended a volunteering day at Stripey Stork in Reigate. Stripey Stork are a Surrey based baby bank founded in 2023, collecting donations of clothes, toys and essential items for babies and children and rehoming them with local families experiencing.
During the day, the volunteers helped with tasks ranging from building moses basket stands, cleaning bottle sterilisers and sorting clothes from 3-6 months up to 12-18 months, then making up clothes bundles ready for families referred.
“The day was rewarding and enjoyable. Everyone felt connected to the cause and understood the pivotal part they were playing. Stripey Stork are reliant on volunteers to help with all jobs necessary to keep this voluntary operation going. We all wanted to make a difference and help families experiencing hardship!” - The Volunteering Team
Good to know: Stripey Stork are now offering volunteer days at a 2nd location based in Redhill!
Thanks to all the volunteers for their genuine commitment to serving others, reinforcing our Company willingness to make a positive impact.
