PILOT YOUR CAREER FV (2)

As you prepare for your annual review, remember to complete the 'My Success Plan' guide. This step is crucial for clarifying your career goals, identifying your strengths, and spotting opportunities for growth.

“Appraisals run most smoothly when there’s ‘no surprises’.  Team members should go into a performance review with a solid understanding of how their work is measuring up against the expectations of the job role. An employee shouldn’t be caught off guard by out of the blue performance review feedback at appraisal time. Avoiding surprises in performance reviews essentially comes down to two key elements: setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback on performance through day-to-day coaching and monthly 121s.”

Ian Harcourt, Learning & Development manager

Don’t delay in creating your 'Individual Development Plan 2025' (IDP). This plan is your roadmap for future opportunities, and it’s important to discuss and finalize it with your manager. Together, you'll agree on various development activities such as job shadowing, online or classroom training, and special projects. You'll also determine the support you need and how your progress will be tracked.

Make sure to submit an initial 'My Training Request (2025)' to the Learning & Development (L&D) department by 31st December. This request is just the starting point—you can always request additional training throughout the year as new needs arise.
