Last month the TGP Communication Days made it to Cape Town, where the majority of the service to our SME customers is delivered. Much like the UK Communication Days, this involved sharing the TGP strategy and plans for 2019 as well as an update around the transformation projects, plus some outside activities and entertainment to round things off. Led by Rob Kerr and Ian Jenner, who look after the relationship with WNS and our colleagues in Cape Town, we re-used a lot of the materials and artwork from the UK sessions as well as the animations. In a new addition, we also featured a short video from Sion Roberts to give an update on 2018 and the plans for next year.
As the Cape Town operation is all about our customers, there was also a heavy focus from Ian and Rob on customer experience, as well as a breakout session around how to deliver the best experience both now and in the future. This was an opportunity to share the ideas the Cape Town team has to improve what we offer. In the afternoon we had a Q&A with Rob, Leo (Head of the TGP Campaign for WNS) and Ian. The Cape Town team then tried their hand on the driving range, and the day finished with some typically African entertainment, with a rhythmic song and dance routine on the Thursday and a carnival feel with the Cape Minstrels visiting on the Friday.
Some comments from Rob on the value of these events:
“These events are a very important part of how we communicate our vision for the organisation and are a great way to engage with the wider team. The Cape Town team are vitally important and these events help to create a feeling of ‘One Team’.
The events were a huge success and were very well received. All the teams actively contributed and we could probably have answered questions for several hours longer than we had!! A great few days and the teams in Cape Town are clearly very excited to be part of the transformation journey.”
The Communication Days were really well received by everyone in Cape Town. Thanks to Ronelle, Tessan, and Mo for organising everything, and to everyone from the Cape Town team who helped in making the days such a success!
