With customer experience, growth and lower cost-to-serve in mind, starting work on the proof of concept for an SME digital product has now begun. If successful, this will enable SME customers to receive an online quotation, sign-up and manage their account online as well as giving colleagues the ability to use the digital system to manage customer accounts.
This follows the successful delivery of a gas portal in Major Business and our plans to launch similar capability for power in 2021. It also follows the first delivery of sales CRM in June to the SME new business team and further deliveries scheduled imminently. If, after analysis, we feel the CRM is also suitable for Major Business, we’ll also start building it in the new year.
